Wyandotte High Schools Regatta

Saturday, May 7, 2011
Wyandotte Boat Club - Wyandotte, Michigan

**Student ID Cards are required for this regatta**

2011 Wy-Hi Waiver Form

The Wyandotte High Schools Regatta is hosted by the Wyandotte Boat Club along the banks of the Detroit River.

This event typically features teams from Michigan, Ohio and Canada. This is the first opportunity for the athletes to get a chance to see some of the crews we will compete against at the Midwest Championships and Canadian Secondary Schools Championships. An added bonus to this event is the number of rowing related vendors that attend. The athletes and parents have the opportunity to view some great racing as well as purchase clothing, posters, equipment, etc. from a host of vendors.

Come on down to Wyandotte and cheer for your Ranger Crews!

Due to prom we only brought two-thirds of our rowers and competed in only one senior event.  We probably had on one of the youngest teams at the event and still managed to finish third overall.  It was a great day for our program and crews.  For the past two weeks we have been flooded out of our boathouse and practices have not been in ideal conditions.  The kids have worked really hard this season despite these challenges and it showed in our overall performance on Saturday.

It was a perfect day for racing on the Detroit River with temperatures in the mid 60’s and little or no wind.

Teams that competed are as follows:

Ann Arbor Huron, Cranbrook, Crestwood, Forest Hills Central, Forest Hills Eastern, Forest Hills Northern, Carlson, Grosse Ile, Our Lady of Mt Carmel, Riverview, Roosevelt, Saline, Southgate, Northville
