This event is one of the largest High School rowing events in North America. The Regatta is open to any Collegiate, High School or Secondary school in the world as long as the athletes meet the entry requirements of age and attendance at the competing school. The Regatta is hosted and run by the Canadian Secondary Schools Rowing Association

The regatta continues to grow in size with over 130 schools competing for the title of Canadian Champion in 36 events. All qualifying heats and semi-finals are run on Friday and Saturday with the 36 finals competed for on Sunday. There are over 180 races run over the three day period. If you want to witness one of the best run regatta's in the world as well as the best High School competition, this is the event that has it all. On Friday and Saturday, races are run on 7 minute centers continuously from 8 in the morning until 5 or beyond in the evening. The finals begin at 11 AM on Sunday and continue until after 6 PM. The race course for this event has hosted the best rowers in the world including the world championships.

It is a great achievement to make the finals at the regatta. FHC has been able to compete with the best with at least one boat making a final in the last 8 years and we have won two bronze medals and one silver over that time frame. This event is also the last of the year and the last time that several of our seniors will compete in the sport of rowing.

As this is a championship regatta, we unfortunately cannot take all of our team members to the event as entries are limited.

More information about this regatta can be found on their website.
