Midwest Scholastic Nationals
May 11-12, 2019
THIS IS A SELECTION REGATTA - NOT ALL ROWERS WILL TRAVEL TO MIDWEST
The Midwest Scholastic Championship is sponsored by the Midwest Scholastic Rowing Association. The regatta will be at Lake Dillon near Zanesville OH.
The purpose of the MSRA is to sponsor an annual Midwest Scholastic Championship among teams representing a single secondary school during the second weekend in May and to also promote information exchange and regatta scheduling among the member organizations. The MSRA encompasses approximately 57 member schools from 7 states.
The Championship Regatta consists of 30 different events, 15 for men and 15 for women, spaced over a two day period. For most events, competitors must race through qualifying heats and semi-finals in order to advance to their final race. The regatta has been averaging 90 +/- races before the 30 finals. The competition is always strong as the best high school scholastic programs from the Midwest are represented.
This regatta will take place Saturday, May 11th - Sunday May 12th (if boats qualify for finals). Rowers will leave on Friday to get down to the regatta. The entire team will NOT be attending Midwest. This will be a selection regatta, like Canada. There will be an additional fee for rowers who are chosen to row at this regatta. This fee will be due prior to the regatta. You will be able to either pay via check or online via Paypal.
