**FHC Crew Boosters Mobile Messaging Policy**

**Purpose:** The mobile messaging system of the Forest Hills Central High School Crew Boosters serves as a vital tool for coordinating volunteers, sharing important updates about events or fundraising activities, and facilitating communication with parents and athletes.

**Authorized Users:**

1. Communications Director: The Communications Director is responsible for managing the mobile messaging system on behalf of the FHC Crew Boosters. They have the authority to send messages, coordinate communication schedules, and ensure compliance with this policy.

**Guidelines:**

1. **Content:** All messages sent through the FHC Crew Boosters mobile messaging system should pertain to activities directly related to the Boosters' objectives, such as volunteer coordination, event updates, fundraising initiatives, and team-related announcements.

2. **Frequency:** Messages should be sent sparingly and only when necessary. Avoid overwhelming recipients with excessive communication. Reserve messages for important updates, urgent notices, or time-sensitive information.

3. **Timeliness:** Ensure that messages are sent at appropriate times, considering the recipients' schedules and time zones. Avoid sending messages late at night or early in the morning unless it's an emergency or time-sensitive situation.

4. **Clarity and Professionalism:** Messages should be clear, concise, and professional in tone. Avoid using slang, jargon, or language that could be misunderstood. Double-check for spelling and grammatical errors before sending.

5. **Respect for Privacy:** Respect the privacy of recipients by refraining from sharing personal or sensitive information without consent. Use blind carbon copy (BCC) when sending group messages to protect recipients' email addresses from being exposed to others.

6. **Opt-In/Opt-Out:** Recipients should have the option to opt-in or opt-out of receiving messages from the FHC Crew Boosters mobile messaging system. Respect their preferences and promptly remove anyone who requests to be unsubscribed.

7. **Emergency Communication:** In the event of an emergency or urgent situation, the Communications Director may use the mobile messaging system to disseminate critical information to recipients. Exercise discretion and prioritize the safety and well-being of all involved.

**Review and Updates:** This policy will be reviewed periodically by the FHC Crew Boosters board to ensure its effectiveness and relevance. Updates may be made as needed to reflect changes in technology or organizational needs.

**Acknowledgment:** By participating in the FHC Crew Boosters mobile messaging system, users acknowledge their understanding and agreement to adhere to the guidelines outlined in this policy.
